Terms & conditions for selling gold:
Please read over this form carefully. At the bottom of this form is a link to get your mail in form.
Requirements to sell:
Every customer must be at least eighteen (18) years of age in order to sell precious metals to Jazz Jewelers. As the seller, customer must be the actual owner of any and all property sold or attempted to be sold to Jazz Jewelers, and every customer must be acting on his or her own behalf and not as the agent or representative of another person. Jazz Jewelers may, but shall not be obligated or required to, request documentation or other proof of compliance with the requirements contained in this paragraph.
Necessary identification:
Any customer wishing to sell any item to Jazz Jewelers in our store must being willing to provide valid indentification, via a drivers license or ID., and must be willing to be fingerprinted per Law.
Necessary paperwork- in store sales only:
By Florida Law, Jazz Jewelers is required to document all items sold to us.
Damaged packages:
Jazz Jewelers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject delivery of any mail, envelope or package which appears to be damaged, opened, or tampered with and any such mail, envelope or package will be returned by the Post Office to the customer. Jazz Jewelers shall have no liability to any customer for any such attempted delivery or return of any such items.
Package loss:
Jazz Jewelers cannot be held responsible for parcels, send by the customer, that become lost in transit to our store. In the event of a loss, the customer agrees to contact the shipping carrier to resolve this matter, and not hold Jazz Jewelers responsible. To prevent such loss, we recommend sending packages with "Delivery Confirmation" service through the US Post Office, or send valuable packages by registered mail.
Shipping methods & credit:
Each customer is free to ship silver goods to Jazz Jewelers by any method or shipping carrier he or she chooses. Jazz Jewelers will issue a shipping credit, one per customer, at the time of processing to assist customer with shipping expense. Shipping credit per customer shall be dispersed as needed, at discretion of Jazz Jewelers, and shall not exceed $10.00 US dollars. If inbound shipping for customer's package is less than $10.00 US dollars, customer shall not receive the difference between the $10.00 shipping credit, and customers actual shipping fee as a credit to his or her order. The is credit shall be used as needed, when needed.
Non-silver goods:
Jazz Jewelers shall not be required to ship unwanted "non-silver" goods, send to Arnold Jewelers, back to the customer at Jazz Jewelers expense. Jazz Jewelers agrees to store such items from customer for a period of 30 days until customer can arrange return shipping back to customer. This particular policy protects Jazz Jewelers from excess loss due to return shipping, also from competitors shipping us unwanted goods intentionally in the hope of undermining our buying program.
Hold period for in store sales:
Jazz Jewelers is required, by law, to hold items purchased by walk in customers for a period of 15 days.
No hold for sales by mail:
Jazz Jewelers is not required by law, to hold items purchased via the internet (by mail). Due to the volatility of the precious metals markets, Jazz Jewelers retains the right to immediately resell items purchased via the internet (by mail) as needed to protect itself from an unforeseen drop in gold, silver and platinum market prices.
Right of refusal:
Jazz Jewelers also retains the right to refuse any item that it feels may be recently stolen, or suspicious. Jazz Jewelers also retains the right to refuse service to any customer that it feels is overly suspicious, or overly "challenging" to work with. Jazz Jewelers retains the right to refuse to buy any precious metal if it considers the market conditions overly unstable, falling, or expected to fall.
Legal requirements for in store sales:
All in store customers by law must provide valid picture identification, and agree to be fingerprinted. Jazz Jewelers reserves the right to refuse service to any customer unwilling to fulfill these legal requirements.
In-store surveillance:
Walk-in customers understand that surveillance cameras are in use in our store. Customer understands that they will be photographed for obvious security reasons while inside the premises of Jazz Jewelers.
Method of payment:
All payments to customers through the mail shall receive payment by company check, and not cash. I Customers selling precious metals by mail shall be mailed payment immediately upon processing their order.
Limitation of liability:
This limitation of liability shall be binding on each and every customer and any third party, including, but not limited to, the customer and the customer’s successors, assigns, insurance carriers and any other individual or entity asserting any right or claim relating to customer’s transaction with Jazz Jewelers. Jazz Jewelers shall not be liable to anyone for any damages, including but not limited to, incidental, consequential, punitive, loss of profit or opportunity, other than as set forth herein above. By submitting the item for sale, customer explicitly and expressly accepts this limitation of liability.
Verbal offers:
Any customer or prospective seller may request Jazz Jewelers to provide a telephone or e-mail quote for his or her items after such items have arrived at Jazz Jewelers store. Verbal offers may, at the discretion of Jazz Jewelers be recorded. Upon a verbal acceptance by the customer of the telephone or e-mail quote, payment will be issued by Jazz Jewelers within twenty four (24) hours of such acceptance.
